Born in Çanakkale

Dardanel was founded in 1984 in Çanakkale, one of the cities with the most fertile land and sea in Turkey. It took its name from the mythological counterpart of Çanakkale.

First tuna

For the first time in Turkey, the miraculous tuna fish of the Mediterranean, Dardanel Tuna, entered the tables.

Advertising film

Famous Dardanel ads were published for the first time. Türkiye learned the benefits of fish with these advertisements. Turkish people began to consume fish more often.

Advertising Jingle

The renowned composer Fahir Atakoğlu crafted the mesmerizing Dardanel Jingle. This unforgettable composition continues to hold its prominent position among the enduring elements of the Dardanel brand today."

Dardanelspor

Çanakkalespor was acquired by Dardanel in 1992 and its name was changed to Çanakkale Dardanelspor in 2008. Çanakkale Dardanelspor has advanced to the 1st League with the energy given by Dardanel.

Dolphin Safe

An international symbol, Dolphin Safe is used to denote hunting without harming dolphins. In Turkey, only Dardanel has the right to use the Dophin Safe symbol on tuna labels.

Five Second Ads

Dardanel's 5-second TV spots, which entered the advertising literature, were broadcast for the first time in 2003. The spots, which were broadcast frequently on health themes, soon became the agenda of the whole of Turkey. Turkey's shortest TV commercial record is still in Dardanel.

Dardenia

Dardenia, which won the appreciation of fish lovers in a short time, opened its first restaurant in Istanbul Bagdat Street in 2011. It continues to grow rapidly with its 9 restaurants currently serving and to bring the unique taste of Dardanel to fish lovers.

Mister No

Mister No, the foundations of which were laid in 2005, is a huge brand today with its cakes, fresh fruit juice, hummus, pita chips and ready-made pizza products! Mister No is known and proud of its fresh and additive-free products. Mister No is a Dardanel subsidiary. In 2016, Mister No was renamed Mr. changed to NO.

Friend Of The Sea

Dardanel became a volunteer member of Friend of the Sea (FOS), which was established to support sustainable fisheries and certify sustainable seafood products.
