Dardanel, a brand born from Çanakkale, continues its contributions to the city's economic and social life, assuming the main sponsorship of the 8th Çanakkale Biennial within this scope. The Biennial, realized by CABININ between October 1st and November 5th, with the participation of nearly 40 artists and 6 art initiatives and under the main sponsorship of Dardanel, is directed by the General Art Director Azra Tüzünoğlu. The 8th Çanakkale Biennial addresses the relationships between human-human, human-nature, human-animal, animal-animal, and all living-non-living structures through questions such as 'How do we produce together?', 'How do we live together?', and 'How do we work together?'.

Niyazi Önen, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dardanel, stated that Çanakkale is a contemporary art and cultural city with its cultural and natural values, saying: "The Çanakkale Biennial is taking place for the 8th time this year, and we, as Dardanel, undertake the main sponsorship of this year's biennial. It is very gratifying to see that Çanakkale, the cradle of historical and cultural riches, is also at the top in contemporary art life. It also makes us happy to be part of long-term art events with the Dardanel brand, which is identified with this city. During the biennial, which will meet art lovers in 11 venues spread across the city, various events such as panels, workshops, and film screenings will take place in addition to the main exhibitions. At the Dardanel Sports Facilities, one of the venues hosting the main exhibitions, visitors can see the new poetry work of the British artist Robert Montgomery.

Focused on the issue of collaboration, the biennial invited AVTO, Monitor, Are Projects, Ka Atölye, and the Garp Sessions initiatives from Italy's Lucca, along with the independent Giungla Festival. It is desired that each of these initiatives will participate in the artistic content of the biennial with exhibitions and projects reflecting not only their production and working practices but also their perspectives on art in venues reflecting Çanakkale's unique urban heritage such as the Korfmann Library, Mekor Hayim Synagogue, and Palamut Warehouses. MAHAL, The FeHAN, Bordo Bina, Dardanel Sports Facilities, and ÇTSO Çanakkale House host the main exhibitions of the biennial.

Continuing its sensitivity towards the memory and historical processes of art, the Çanakkale Biennial will bring together art lovers with both the retrospective exhibition of Alparslan Baloğlu and his new project, where Baloğlu reinterprets Troy from today's perspective, in the enchanting atmosphere of the Troy Museum.
