On March 8, International Women’s Day, Dardanel brought together the Dardanel Women’s Football Team, which is very close to securing the championship for the second consecutive season, world record-holding free diver Şahika Ercümen, and women employees who make significant contributions to the workforce to raise awareness. World champion Şahika Ercümen and Dardanel’s women employees supported the team, nicknamed the “Sultans of Dardanel,” during their training session at the Dardanel Sports Facilities as they prepared for the playoffs in their fight for the 1st League.

National athlete Şahika Ercümen performed the kickoff for the training match held by the Dardanel Women’s Football Team, which competes in Group A of the Turkish Football Federation Women’s 2nd League. Known for its commitment to women’s employment for over 40 years, Dardanel emphasizes the strength of women in sports through its support for the women’s football team as part of its social responsibility projects.

Last season, the Dardanel Women’s Football Team crowned their efforts with a championship and advanced to the Women’s 2nd League. This season, with one week left in the league, the team has already secured a spot in the playoffs. If they finish in the top three in the playoffs, the “Sultans of Dardanel” will represent Çanakkale in the 1st League next season. By supporting women, Dardanel aims to increase examples of success both in the workplace and in sports, creating a positive societal impact through the achievements of women they support.
